Short biography about me
I was born in Kuwait. I received my LLB from Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan. I obtained my LL.M. from Columbia University in New York City, United States. I have also an LL.M. in International and Commercial Law from the University of Buckingham, Buckingham, United Kingdom. Since completion of my studies, I have been working as a researcher and legal consultant in intellectual property and internet laws in a number of countries including: United States, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Sultanate of Oman, and Palestine.
Currently, I am completing my PhD at Queensland University of Technology, Faculty of Law working under the supervision of Professor Brian Fitzgerald. I am also a researcher at the ARC Center of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation and project leader for Creative Commons Jordan.
My main interests in internet laws are in the areas of domain names conflicts, and software copyright protection. Also, I am interested in copyright issues related mainly to developing countries.
